Sustainable - For Their Future

Since Day 1, Hootie Hoo has been dedicated to offering products that protect children and their playgrounds.

We carefully selected soft yet durable fabrics and spent extensive wear testing hours before introducing any new materials into the market.

We are very proud that most of our outerwear fabrics and 100% of our insulations are sourced from recycled materials. We are using only PFAs free DWR for water-repellent treatment and have also cleaned up our supply chain to only work with bluesign® approved material suppliers. Our packaging materials are also 100% recyclable, and our goal is to use biodegradable packaging materials by 2028.

Durability also plays a crucial role in sustainability. When gear is durable and lasts longer, fewer products will be consumed. As a brand founded by a group of parents, we often benefit from hand-me-downs and regularly pass on our kids' gear to others. The stretchy, durable fabrics we use in our outerwear increase the longevity of our jackets and pants. Additionally, the "growable" feature extends the sleeve and leg length by about 2 inches, making it possible to pass on the gear for many years.

Lastly, we have put a lot of thought into designing products and features that teach our young users about sustainability. Our one-of-a-kind ZTP, Zero-Trace-Pocket, teaches kids to carry their garbage while outdoors and to be responsible for their environment.

Sustainability is critical to us. If you have any ideas that can help, we're all ears!
